洞庭湖典型雁类分布格局与湿地变化关系研究取得新进展

       洞庭湖湿地是长江重要生态功能区和全球生物多样性保护地,鸟类生物多样性保育对维系洞庭湖湿地生物多样性起着至关重要的作用。食草雁类是洞庭湖湿地最为典型的越冬优势类群,对鸟类生物多样性维持至关重要,是评价洞庭湖湿地生态安全的重要“指示器”。近十多年来,洞庭湖水文情势巨变,毋庸置疑,将导致洞庭湖越冬栖息地质量随之发生变化,最终威胁到越冬食草雁类的时空分布格局。

 

  基于此,中国科学院亚热带农业生态研究所洞庭湖湿地生态研究团队以洞庭湖三种典型食草雁类(小白额雁、豆雁、白额雁)为研究对象,通过遥感、地理信息系统和野外调查,分析2008-2016越冬期三种食草雁类种群时空分布格局变化及其与生境变化的关系。研究发现,全球易危物种 (VU) 小白额雁的时空分布变化最明显,且与退水时间和越冬初期水位(10月平均水位)变化呈显著负相关;豆雁的时空分布则相对稳定,对生境变化可能更倾向于采用忍耐策略。与前二者不同,白额雁的数量和分布在研究期内发生了一次剧烈的转变,主要分布区由大小西湖(66.52%)转变为春风湖(58.99%)。物种的特征(体型、食性等)可对雁类之间的差异作出解释。此外,食物可获得性 (NDVI) 与水文条件的变化呈显著相关,因此,水文条件变化改变了洲滩植被生长状况,影响了以洲滩植被为主要栖息地和食物来源的食草雁类种群时空分布格局。因此,合适的退水时间和越冬初期水位对食草雁类(尤其是濒危物种小白额雁)来说至关重要。相关论文发表在Science of the Total Environment上。
